Lunar Eclipse
This month’s full moon was is known as the Wolf Moon, it was also a super moon(the moon’s a bit closer in its obit of the Earth, so a bit larger and brighter) AND it was the occasion of a lunar eclipse. I had intended to shoot the eclipse in my yard with my sky tracker, but the organizer of the local photography meetup decided to schedule a meetup for the occasion in the hills above Dodger Stadium. The conditions were not predicted to be great due to cloud cover, but the clouds started to clear around the moon but the time the eclipse started. I’ve also included a couple of pics from the previous evening.

Sunset matching the eclipse to follow.
We arrived at the spot to shoot to be greeted by the wonderful sunset. There were still quite a few clouds in the sky and the rising moon opposite the setting sun was still shrouded in clouds. This panorama is composed of 3 shots, shot with a 16mm lens.
