Lunar Eclipse
This month’s full moon was is known as the Wolf Moon, it was also a super moon(the moon’s a bit closer in its obit of the Earth, so a bit larger and brighter) AND it was the occasion of a lunar eclipse. I had intended to shoot the eclipse in my yard with my sky tracker, but the organizer of the local photography meetup decided to schedule a meetup for the occasion in the hills above Dodger Stadium. The conditions were not predicted to be great due to cloud cover, but the clouds started to clear around the moon but the time the eclipse started. I’ve also included a couple of pics from the previous evening.

Partial Lunar Eclipse.
Once the eclipse began, the clouds had pretty much settled on the horizon so we were able to get a pretty good shot of the lunar show. This shot shows the moon covered about 3/4 by the earth’s shadow.
