There's a Fog Upon LA...
There were two goals for this afternoon outing: see Moose and Squirrel and visit Blue Jay Way. Blue Jay Way is the tile of a song from the Beatles TV special in 1967 written by George Harrison. He wrote it in a house he was renting on Blue Jay Way up in the Hollywood Hills in an area called "The Bird Streets", since all the streets are named after birds. George was waiting for some friends as the fog rolled in from the coast that covered the basin below his view on Blue Jay Way. The photos are from the sign on the south side of Trasher Street(see birds streets), the sign on the north side is partially covered by bushes or would have made a better subject, especially for IR photos. I drove up Blue Jay Way to see the house that George wrote the song(it's still there), but it was pretty much in the shade so it wouldn't have made a good photo.
My first stop was to be Moose and Squirrel, which I was lead to believe were at Sunset and Crescent Heights. That was incorrect, that is close to their original location, but not their current location. After driving up to Blue Jay Way, I made a right on Sunset heading west. About half a mile or so I spotted Moose and Squirrel on my left. I found parking and got my shots of the statue. If you look at the last IR shot, you'll see there quite a lot of visual pollution going on in the background(a billboard, power polls, etc). I removed them from most of the shots using the magic of Photoshop.
